Read this blog post by a teacher. I mean actually read it. Take it in. Think about it. And then, write about it. What do you think about it? What is the teacher trying to say? In your own words explain what "the main event" is.

I think that this teacher really does care about his students because he feels so strongly about how school isn't about academics, its about learning how to deal/live with life. The main event is learning how to live with the harshness of life and problem solve. He thinks yes academics are important but not as important as learning how to problem solve and not letting your judgement get tamed by emotion or friends. I don't really agree with this. I don't agree with this because academics are really important to the world because you learn new tings in school and then put them out into the world. Without academics we wouldn't be as advanced as we are today.

Reflect on your stop-motion animation project. How did it go? What worked? What didn't work? If you're not finished - why? If you are finished go in to detail about the project and what you learned. Give as much detail and information as possible.

I thought my stop-motion animation went well because I had enough pictures to fill the required time, 30 seconds, and I met all the other requirements. Some things that didn't work were some of my pictures. Some of the pictures were blurry, but I didn't cut them out because I liked what was going on in the picture. This might have been a mistake because a couple people commented on a few of my pictures being blurry. From this project I learned how to use movie maker. I have tried to use it in the past, but I had people help me then. Now I know how to do it on my own.

What is your idea for your stop-motion animation? Explain yourself. Have you started taking photos? If not, when do you plan to take your photos? What is your action plan for today? What is your plan to GET SOMETHING DONE?

My idea for my stop-motion animation is taking a chair and moving it around the school with Wynne in it. I'm going to take the chair on an adventure around the school with different people in it. I haven't started taking photos yet, but I will today. My action plan for today is to take my pictures with Ruth and Wynne.

What is stop motion animation? If you don't know, look it up! Explain.

Stop Motion Animation is a technique that makes static objects appear as if they are moving, when they are really not. They are made to look like they are moving by breaking up the figures motion into increments and filming one frame at a time. This process is used in most puppet based animation.

Tyson's Daily Life

Friday, April 4

Tell me about your 5 frame storyboard. What did you like about the project? What did you dislike? Was it hard to fit a story in to 5 images? Do you think you tell a clear story? What would you do differently if you could? Explain.

My five frame story board was about my dog, Tyson's daily life. One thing that  liked about this project was that we could choose what our topic was on this project, and we could choose how to edit our pictures. One thing I disliked about this project was how there were only five frames. I disliked this because my dog does many things in his daily life, and I only got to showcase five pictures of what he does because that was my limit. It was hard to fit my pictures in five frames, like I said before, and I do think that my pictures tell a clear story. Something that I would do differently would be to edit my pictures in different ways because I used to same website and I did most of the same things on each picture, even though I tried to vary the tools I used.

What is a storyboard? If you don't know, what do you think it is? How are storyboards used? What are some different ways that storyboards can be made?

I'm not really sure what a story board is. My guess is that it is a bunch of pictures linked together in order to tell a story. I think they are used to prove a point in a subject, like a PSA would do. A way to make them are to put them on paper and actually draw them out.
